Perplexity has launched Personal Computer for Windows, bringing the company’s agent platform to Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11. Perplexity first introduced Computer earlier in the year and says it has since performed more than $9.4 billion in labor-equivalent work for Computer users. Personal Computer for Windows is built to manage complex workflows, connect disparate tools, and turn scattered information into work-ready deliverables on a local machine. Users can ask the agent to create or edit Word, Excel, or other local files, find files buried in a Downloads folder and move them to the right File Explorer location, and continue a task across devices.
Perplexity gives this example: a user can start a task on their phone during lunch, with a request like "Update the Excel model for SpaceX on my desktop based on today’s news," and finish it later on their desktop. Voice mode is also supported, so a user can speak to Computer and have it carry out actions on the PC.

Perplexity says Computer is grounded in its answer engine, so every deck, website, or ongoing workflow it generates is built on cited data.
Paired with the Comet browser, Computer can also operate web-based systems to fill out forms, book appointments, schedule meetings, and perform other tasks.
